AVI50215 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence-Aeroplane)

AVI50415 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating)

AVI50516 Diploma of Aviation (Flight Instructor)

Courses are delivered full time training program.

Air Gold Coast is also registered and accredited under the Commonwealth Register of Institution and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) to train international students who enrol fulltime in AVI50215 and AVI50415 courses.

The AVI50215 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence-Aeroplane) is the entry level qualification for aspiring pilots, allowing students to build 160 hours of practical flight training before embarking on their aviation career.

Students enrolled in the AVI50215 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence-Aeroplane) will graduate with the knowledge and skills to be employed as a pilot within the aviation industry. Successful graduates are awarded the nationally recognised qualification and receive the Civil Aviation Safety Authority issued Commercial Pilot Licence. A Private Pilot Licence is also issued as part of the course syllabus.

The AVI50415 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) incorporating the Command Instrument Rating (CIR) is a demanding and rewarding qualification for qualified pilots ready to take the next step in their career.The AVI50415 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) will equip you with the skills to navigate en route and depart/arrive in meteorological conditions requiring sole reference to flight instruments and navigation aids. To be eligible for the course, pilots must hold a AVI50215 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence-Aeroplane). Half of the instrument time is completed in the synthetic trainer (I-Gate simulator), allowing you to safely and economically learn the procedures involved in navigation and departures/ approaches utilising NDB (Non Directional Beacon), VOR (VHF Omni Directional Radio Range), RNAV (Area Navigation), and ILS Instrument Landing Systems.

The AVI50516 Diploma of Aviation (Flight Instructor) course commences with a one day Preparatory Assessment Course incorporating general knowledge, written exam and right hand seat introduction flight. This course is conducted prior to FIR course commencement. On completion of the CASA FIR course, graduates will be awarded a Diploma of Aviation (Fight Instructor) and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Graduates will be then compliant with Vocation Education and Training (VET) requirements as a trainer employed by a Registered Training Organisation Flight School.
